I am Jiawei Luo, soon to join the Oliver Stegle Lab. My research will focuses on DNA language models and single-cell studies
My research interests focuses on developing AI/ML algorithms for Biology, including drug discovery, disease diagnosis, single-cell technologies and language model. I am particularly intrigued by the application of AI/ML techniques to address biological questions.
My graduate research lies at the intersection of natural language processing (NLP) and computational biology, specifically focusing on leveraging protein language models to identify and generate functional peptides.
